Filming underway on Boarders Series 3

Boarders is shooting the third and final run in various locations in Bristol
Production began filming this week (w/c 23 June) on the third series of Boarders for Studio Lambert.
The six-part series, a coming-of-age drama created by Daniel Lawrence Taylor, follows the lives of five underprivileged black students from inner-city London who win scholarships to an elite boarding school.
Filming will run for around three months in Bristol and the south-west.
Ali MacPhail is returning to produce the series, with Lawrence Taylor serving as executive producer alongside Maddie Sinclair for Studio Lambert and Nawfal Faizullah for the BBC. Carleen Beadle-Larcombe will serve as the line producer.
Yero Timi-Biu and Satya Bhabha take up the director’s chair in this series, with Lawrence Taylor making his directorial debut for episode six.
The series is produced by Studio Lambert for BBC Three in collaboration with All3Media International. When the announcement was made for the return of a third series, Lawrence Taylor, the creator, stated:
“Boarders has been a deeply personal project for me, and it’s been incredible to see how audiences have connected with the characters. From day one, I wanted to create something funny, honest, and proudly Black – and in this final term, I hope to finish their story as they face their final year with greater challenges, deeper friendships and the looming question of life beyond school.”
Lindsay Salt, director of BBC drama, added: “Boarders has been a fun, sharp and timely addition to our screens since its launch two years ago, with star-making turns from its exceptional young cast. We’re so excited to return to St Gilbert’s one more time to bring viewers the conclusion of Daniel Lawrence Taylor’s hit comedy-drama.”
