Endeavour Series 5 starts filming
The fifth series of Endeavour starts filming this week on location in and around Oxford.
This time around the series will comprise a hefty 6 x 120 episodes, with the shoot due to run for six months.
The show – which, after Lewis, is the second spinoff from the long-running Inspector Morse original – has been a hit for ITV and makers Mammoth Screen, with the drama regularly attracting around six million viewers.

Mammoth Screen is also busy in production on several other projects. The City and The City, Tony Grisoni”s adaptation for BBC Two of China Mieville”s ‘weird fiction” novel, began filming earlier this month while contemporary thriller Next of Kin, starring Archie Panjabi and Jack Davenport for ITV, is also currently filming.
February saw the start of production on Mammoth Screen”s second series of Victoria, with filming based once again at Yorkshire”s Church Fenton Studios. Many of the same locations will be used for Series 2, including Beverley Minster and Harewood House. The seven-month shoot will also incorporate a two-hour Christmas special.
