Elizabeth Hurley to star in C4 immersive reality series

Hurley plays a glamorous benefactor with Rinder as her legal counsel
Elizabeth Hurley will star alongside Rob Rinder in a new C4 immersive reality series called The Inheritance.
Hurley plays glamorous benefactor ‘The Deceased’ in the competition-format show, in which thirteen strangers are summoned to a grand stately home.
The players must compete for part of the fortune left in the will of The Deceased, as they come up against her wicked sense of humour and complex assignments.
The thirteen have to work as a team to complete her final requests, but as only one player can claim the money, each must persuade the others that they alone deserve the cash they earned together…
Overseeing the stipulations of The Deceased’s will is her executor and legal counsel, played by Robert Rinder.
Inheritance is a 12-episode series co-produced by All3Media label Studio Lambert and GroupM Motion Entertainment. The executive producers for Studio Lambert are Tim Harcourt, Darrell Olsen, Kim Murphy and Joe Wildman, with Martin Oxley for GroupM Motion Entertainment.
Production executives for Studio Lambert are Shona Kemp and Ellie Rowe, with Karen Bonnici for GroupM Motion Entertainment. All3Media International will handle format and tape sales worldwide.
Inheritance was commissioned for Channel 4 by Steve Handley, head of reality & entertainment, with Tom Beck, head of live events and commissioning editor, reality & entertainment and Genna Gibson, commissioning editor, reality & entertainment.
Hurley said: “It’s a thrill to be part of this clever game, playing The Deceased; it all takes place on her huge estate in the English countryside and she dresses to the nines in every scene. Tune in this Autumn to catch The Inheritance on Channel 4.”
Rinder added: “This is a high-stakes strategy game served with a side of scheming and sabotage. As The Executor I enforce the rules, keep the chaos in check – more or less – and make sure our players are deserving of every glittering penny left by our dearly departed deceased, played by the iconic Elizabeth Hurley.”
