Damned and Zapped return for second runs
Two home-grown comedies are currently in pre-production preparing to film their second series in mid-April.
Baby Cow”s Zapped!, for delivery to Dave, centres on data assistant Brian Weaver (played by James Buckley) who is transported to a parallel universe.
The first series was a 3 x 40 and written by Dan Gaster, Will Ing and Paul Powell.
Series 2 is due to begin a six-week shoot imminently – PI subscribers can log in for details on the dates, studio and key hires such as the production manager and production designer.
Channel 4”s Damned is also due to begin filming a second series in the next couple of weeks. The show comes from What Larks! Productions, the company founded in 2009 by Claire Whalley and Jo Brand.
Brand, who writes the show with Morwenna Banks and Will Smith, stars alongside Alan Davies as put-upon local council social workers in a children”s services department.
Whalley executive produces; further production personnel are listed on PI including the line producer, production designer, location manager and production co-ordinator as well as shoot dates.
