The forthcoming feature film Blue Iguana has lined up a five week shoot in central London with cameras due to roll from next month.

The offbeat black comedy stars Sam Rockwell and Ben Schwartz and is, according to the writer/director Hadi Hajaig, “a film with a playful naive spirit, harkening back to films such as Demme’s classic film Something Wild, which had an amazing colourful indie vibe and a free-flowing plot with strong characters at the heart of it”.

The film will shoot for nearly five weeks in central London, including around 10 days in and around Holborn. Principal photography begins in July.

Hajaig, who also produces alongside Tom Lassally, is a big fan of London, as he told us previously. “London is my favourite place to shoot and the London we are aiming for is slightly off the beaten track in keeping with the film’s colourful vibe, so I’m really looking forward to bringing that aspect to the film.”
