Cannes Lions Unveils Its Grand Prix Winners

The final night of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (June 25) concluded with the Film, Film Craft, Creative Effectiveness and Titanium and Integrated Lions Awards Ceremony. Of 3310 entries in the Film category, the Festival jury shortlisted a total of 299 entries. From this list, 14 were awarded Gold, 30 Silver and 57 Bronze Lions.

The most prestigious Award of the night, the Film Grand Prix, was awarded to Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam for Nike”s Write the Future. The Film Craft Grand Prix went to Droga5 New York for its Puma After Hours Athlete ad.
 
Bob Scarpelli, Chairman of DDB Worldwide, oversaw the Titanium and Integrated jury – which whittled down 480 entries to a shortlist of 32. The Integrated Grand Prix went to Droga5 New York for Decode Jay-Z with Bing for Bing/Jay-Z. But the jury decided not to award a Titanium Grand Prix.

The first ever Creative Effectiveness Lions were presented by jury president Jean-Marie Dru, Chairman of TBWAWorldwide. The inaugural Grand Prix went to Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO London for its PepsiCo ad Sandwich. Other top awards were: Advertising Agency of the Year, AlmapBBDO Sao Paulo and Advertiser of the Year, presented to IKEA in honour of its commitment to encouraging creative, unconventional and humorous advertising. Noel Wijsmans, Global Retail Manager and Vice President of IKEA Group accepted the award.
