Bwark joins Zodiak roost…
Zodiak Media Group has acquired Bwark, the indie producer behind hit comedy The Inbetweeners.
Founded in 2004 by Iain Morris and Damon Beesley (former C4 commissioning editors), Bwark has also produced series such as Free Agents (C4) and The Persuasionists (BBC2). In its new incarnation, Mark Lesbirel (currently Director of Publishing and Home Entertainment, Zodiak Rights) will be Bwark MD.
Joely Fether, who runs Zodiak”s Media Group”s UK, Netherlands and Belgium division Joely Fether said: “Since they founded Bwark seven years ago, Iain and Damon have firmly established their position as two of the UK”s most talented comedy writers and producers. The Inbetweeners sits proudly amongst the best classic comedy series of the last decade and it”s incredibly exciting to have their talent and ability within the Zodiak Media Group. We are hugely excited about working with Iain and Damon to grow our comedy output in the UK and, over the years, in the US”.

With this deal and The Inbetweeners Movie next month it feels like a landmark summer for Bwark.”
Zodiak Media Group has annual revenues of approximately €500 million. Some of the Group”s most successful titles worldwide include: Wife Swap; Fort Boyard; Location Location Location; Wallander; Don”t Forget The Lyrics; Totally Spies; Waybuloo; Being Human and Secret Millionaire.
