Belgravia: The Next Chapter gets underway

Production is due to get underway this week on Belgravia: The Next Chapter, with filming set to take place in London, the Home Counties and Edinburgh.

The eight-part drama is a follow-up to Julian Fellowes’ Belgravia, and is written by Helen Edmundson.

It is produced by Carnival Films and Epix Studios, for Epix. The story is set 25 years later in 1865, and centres on Frederick Trenchard, the third Lord Glanville and his love interest, Clara Dunn.

The series reunites Fellowes with  Carnival’s creative team, headed by Gareth Neame – Fellowes and Neames will serve as executive producers with Carnival’s Nigel Marchant and Joanna Strevens.

Edmundson serves as showrunner and executive producer. John Alexander, who directed the original series, is lead director and executive producer. Colin Wratten, who produced the original series, will return as producer.

Carnival is also producing Lockerbie, a series based on the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. Sky announced the commission, a co-production between UCP and Sky Studios, last year.
