BBC One snaps up Dynamo

BBC One has bought the rights to air the first of series Watch’s Dynamo: Magician Impossible (Inner Circle Films / Phil McIntyre) in a Saturday teatime slot.
Â
The broadcaster will air three episodes of the four-part series, which stars magician Dynamo (real name Stephen Frayne) performing a number of jaw-dropping tricks to stunned members of the public – from levitating to walking over the River Thames.
It took the magician a long time to strike a TV deal; the majority of his tricks were filmed by his team for several years in a bid to get a channel to sign him. A deal with UKTV’s Watch was eventually made, one that certainly paid off:Â it became an instant hit for the channel and has since been sold to over 200 countries.
