Another Hollywood feature to film in UK
Another major Hollywood feature is heading to film in the UK with an autumn start to filming currently on the cards.
Atlantic Wall is set during the Second World War on the eve of the Allied invasion, as a lone American soldier is stranded behind enemy lines with a mission to deliver critical intelligence with just hours to go before D-Day.
The screenplay is by Zach Dean, best known for 2012”s Deadfall with Charlie Hunnam, Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde. Unconfirmed reports have suggested Gavin O”Connor (Jane Got a Gun) will be at the helm to direct.
There will be more details about Atlantic Wall on Production Intelligence over the coming months as names and dates are locked down, so subscribers should follow the project to ensure email alerts as things progress.
The film is the latest in a clutch of big-budget US arrivals, all setting up to film here later this year. Disney has at least two lining up – Cruella and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms – while Spielberg is preparing to shoot Ready Player One this summer. And look out for very big footprints as the dinosaurs return in the as-yet-untitled sequel to Jurassic World.
These are just some of the feature films we are covering on Production intelligence, along with new high-end TV dramas, non-scripted TV shows including entertainment, factual and documentary and returning favourites across all genres.
