Unconscious bias covered for drama HoDs
ScreenSkills – previously known as Creative Skillset – has commissioned a scheme for production teams in TV drama.
To be delivered by DV Talent, Leadership and Management Essentials has been launched in response to the growing demand for training in the core skills required to run the increasingly large teams producing broadcast content in the UK.
The condensed, half-day courses are aimed at production teams including HoDs and managers in production, post and VFX.
A range of topics will be covered including the skills needed to manage a team, how to be effective in crewing up, managing performance and personality styles, how to deal with bullying and harassment, issues of diversity and the impact of unconscious bias (an unconscious stereotyping that may affect workplace decisions).
The scheme can be delivered nationwide to production teams; it is free to productions that are contributing to ScreenSkills’ High-end TV Skills Fund. Click here for more on how to apply.
