Ynys Llanddwyn, or Llanddwyn Island, is a small tidal island off the west coast of Anglesey,
north Wales. Despite its name, it remains attached to the mainland at all but the highest tides.
Part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve, it provides excellent views of nearby
Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. Llanddwyn Island lighthouse marks the western entrance to
the Menai Strait, and was used for Craig Rosenberg’s romantic thriller
Half Light
, which stars Demi
Moore and James Cosmo. A scene for Hollywood blockbuster
