Two Brothers filming ITV drama The Widow
London-based production company Two Brothers Pictures has started filming ITV drama The Widow with Kate Beckinsale.
The story follows Georgia, who travels to the Congo to uncover the truth about her husband, who was reportedly killed in a jungle plane crash in the country three years previously.
Two Brothers is scheduled to film The Widow in Wales, Rotterdam and South Africa.
The drama is being made as a co-production with Amazon Prime.
“We are thrilled to continue our existing relationship with Kate Beckinsale on the heels of her incredible performances in Amazon Studios’ critically acclaimed films,” said Brad Beale, vice-president of worldwide TV content acquisition for Amazon Prime Video, when Beckinsale’s involvement was announced earlier this month.
“Harry and Jack Williams (the show’s writers and executive producers, and owners of Two Brothers) have created a powerful story, which will be brought to life by one of the world’s most talented actresses, and we are excited to bring this thrilling series to Prime members around the world.”
