The White Princess to film in summer

Starz’ follow-up to the White Queen, the White Princess, is due to start filming in early summer in the south west of England.

Company Pictures and writer Emma Frost are once again charged with adapting Philippa Gregory’s historical novel of the same name, which centres on the conclusion of the War of the Roses and the rise of the House of Tudor from the final years of the fifteenth century.

Early pre-production on the eight-episode run is now underway, with a line producer on board and plenty of hires due to be attached over the next few weeks, including a director.

A studio has been confirmed, with the team expected to move in over the next few weeks.

Subscribers should make sure they are following the project on Production Intelligence - where it has been listed since early 2014 - to get updates on crucial names as they board. The likely start date for principal photography is also on the site.

Frost also executive produces alongside Gregory, Colin Callender and Michele Buck. Lachlan MacKinnon is on producing duties.
