Bride of Frankenstein to film in the UK

Bill Condon The next feature in Universal’s Dark Universe series of horror reboots is Bride of Frankenstein, now in pre-production in the UK readying for an early 2018 shoot. 

Beauty and the Beast director Bill Condon (pictured) will helm the film, which was previously described by Universal chairman Donna Langley as the "story of a very modern woman in a very classic tale." 

Production Intelligence subscribers can log in for details on the start date for principal photography and confirmation on key Hods including the UPM, DoP, production designer, location manager and production co-ordinator. 

The US studio giant began its shared monsters universe with The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, which shot in the UK last year.

There are plans in the pipeline for several more features to follow, each featuring interconnected characters from Universal's iconic archive including The Invisible Man and Dr Jekyll.
