Beast to film in mid-July

jersey lighthouseA new film described as a love story within a horror film is gearing up for production in mid-July.

Psychological thriller Beast is about an emotionally isolated woman, photographer Moll Huntford, who becomes fascinated with a man suspected of a series of sustained brutal murders on the island of Jersey over a period of seven years.

Beast marks the feature directorial debut of Jersey-born Michael Pearce, and secured funding from the BFI’s First Feature Awards in 2014. It also has backing from Film4. Pearce directs from his own screenplay, working alongside producers Kristian Brodie, Lauren Dark and Ivana MacKinnon.

Filming will run for four weeks in London and one week on Jersey.
