Romesh Ranganathan comedy starts filming
A new comedy starring Romesh Ranganathan begins filming this week for Sky 1.
The show is semi-autobiographical and based on the comedian’s experiences when he had to take over the running of a family pub following the death of his father.
The Reluctant Landlord comes from What Larks! Productions, makers of Channel 4’s social services comedy-drama, Damned.
Sian Gibson plays Ranganathan’s wife and Nick Helm his best friend Lemon. It is written by Ranganathan, Steve Stamp and Will Smith.
The executive producers are Claire Whalley, Jon Mountague and Tilusha Ghelani.
Production Intelligence subscribers can log in for more HoD details along with the studio where the show is being recorded.
The Reluctant Landlord is one of several comedies filming in London currently, including The Bisexual and The Windsors Wedding Special.
