ITV drama Dark Heart has set shoot dates with a producer in place and HoDs readying to board.

The 6 x 60 follows a successful pilot and stars Tom Riley as DI Will Wagstaffe, a man haunted by the murder of his parents when he was 16.

Written by Chris Lang – with Ben Harris penning two of the episodes – the drama is inspired by characters created by novelist Adam Creed.

Dark Heart is the first drama from new production arm Silverprint Pictures, a label run by Kate Bartlett under the ITV umbrella. Lang executive produces alongside Bartlett with Colin Teague directing.
