Drama Killing Eve starts filming
New drama series Killing Eve has started filming in the UK, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge involved behind the camera as showrunner.
Based on novellas by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve is a thriller that pitches bored security services professional Eve against an elegant serial killer.
Sid Gentle Films is producing for BBC America. The company has previously made alternate-reality drama SS-GB and currently has a third season of true-life period series The Durrells in production in London and on the Greek island of Corfu.
Waller-Bridge is best-known as the creator and star of the BBC Three comedy Fleabag (pictured), which was nominated for multiple Baftas and won a performance award for Waller-Bridge.
As an actress, she also has a role in the upcoming standalone Stars Wars movie following the adventures of the young Han Solo.
