The A Word 2 readies for spring
The second series of The A Word is readying for a late March shoot, returning to Manchester and the Lake District locations.
Set in the lakes, the drama centres on a young autistic boy and his family, and is based on Keren Margalit’s Israeli drama Yellow Peppers. The first series began transmission in March last year and performed well, with a consolidated figure of 5.91 million viewers.
Peter Bowker is returning as writer of Series 2; the show comes from Fifty Fathoms and Keshet UK.
