Paddington 2 ready to shoot
Principal photography gets underway on 17 October on the second screen outing for the little bear from Darkest Peru.
Paddington 2 is once again helmed by Paul King who is calling the shots from a screenplay he wrote with Simon Farnaby. David Heyman of Heyday Films is back in the producer’s chair.
The film is using two major UK studios – PI subscribers can log in for details on these as well as key hires including the UPM, production designer, casting director and production co-ordinator.
Paddington’s first iteration as star of the silver screen - with Ben Whishaw providing the voice - earned critical plaudits as well as audience acclaim and went on to take a hefty $265m worldwide, the highest-grossing UK film of 2014.
PI currently has listings for more than 120 projects in pre-production, including feature films, high-end TV dramas, entertainment, factual and reality shows and documentaries.
