Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard film in the UK
Brad Pitt has frequently been somewhat of an Anglophile when it comes to film locations, and now he is heading back to the UK for his next project.
The as-yet-untitled feature comes from the pen of Steven Knight (Taboo, Burnt, Locke) and is set against the backdrop of World War Two. Pitt plays an Allied counter-intelligence agent who falls in love with his French counterpart, played by Marion Cotillard, while on a dangerous mission to Casablanca to assassinate a German ambassador.
Robert Zemeckis directs the period piece for GK Films; Graham King is among the producers. The feature is currently in pre-production here in the UK; on Production Intelligence you will find the production manager and production co-ordinator.

Pitt has been in the UK for the last couple of months for his starring role in War Machine, a major Netflix film we first detailed on PI in July; log in for details including location manager and production co-ordinator. As a producer, he has also recently been involved in UK-based projects such as The Lost City of Z, recently filming in Belfast.
Cotillard was also in the UK at the start of 2015 for a two month shoot on Macbeth, co-starring Michael Fassbender, which filmed in Scotland, Surrey, Northumberland and Cambridgeshire. She is currently busy shooting Assassin's Creed, which we first detailed on PI as a UK-based project back in May. Â
