Bourne 5 gears up for UK shoot
The fifth in the series of the high-octane Bourne films is gearing up for a late summer shoot here in the UK, with Matt Damon reprising his role as the eponymous spy.
The film reunites Damon with director Paul Greengrass; the pair were not involved in the fourth Bourne film, which starred Jeremy Renner as a new hero under the direction of Tony Gilroy. It is not clear whether that particular strand will continue separately.
But back to the main event, and the currently untitled fifth film. Damon's co-stars so far look set to be Julia Stiles (she played Nicky in The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum), Tommy Lee Jones and Alicia Vikander. Greengrass has had a hand in the screenplay this time around too, penning alongside Damon and Christopher Rouse. The producers are Frank Marshall, Gregory Goodman, Damon and Greengrass.
There are plenty of crucial UK hires behind the scenes on this major shoot: if you follow the film on Production Intelligence, you will know that as well as a principal photography start date, we have also detailed the studio, production designer, production co-ordinator, UPM and location manager.
