Filming imminent on Lady Chatterley's Lover

Richard MaddenShooting gets underway imminently on the shiny new BBC One adaptation of D.H Lawrence's classic, Lady Chatterley's Lover.

Game of Thrones star Richard Madden plays gamekeeper Oliver Mellors in the feature-length drama, with Holliday Grainger (The Riot Club) as Lady Chatterley and James Norton (the forthcoming TV series Grantchester) as Sir Clifford Chatterley.

Jed Mercurio, the pen behind productions such as Critical, Line of Duty and Bodies, has adapted the novel for the small screen; he also directs. The production comes from Sherlock shingle Hartswood Films in association with Serena Cullen Productions. Executive producers are Hartswood's Beryl Vertue and the BBC's Lucy Richer; Serena Cullen produces.

The drama is filmed entirely on location, near Bridgend in south Wales. It is one of four adaptations of classic 20th century literature the BBC is producing. The three others are: Cider with Rosie; The Go-Between and An Inspector Calls.
