Bradley Cooper films Hollywood feature in the UK

The latest in a bumper crop of Hollywood films choosing to shoot in the UK is Chef starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.

Not to be confused with Jon Favreau’s comedy of the same name, the feature comes from 3 Arts Entertainment in Los Angeles and producers Erwin Stoff, Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg with backing from movie leviathans The Weinstein Company.

John Wells directs from a screenplay by our very own Steven Knight (Locke, Peaky Blinders, Eastern Promises), who is also working on the sequel to World War Z.

The story centres on Paris-based chef Adam Jones (Cooper) whose career is in a downward spiral. He decides to assemble a crack team and open the best restaurant in the world, in London. The cast is bolstered by Sienna Miller (the pair recently finished filming Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper), Omar Sy and Sam Keeley.

It’s been another busy year for Hollywood big hitters setting up in the UK – studios are bulging with the likes of Pan, Tarzan and Mission: Impossible 5 – with more to come later in the year.
