Production Intelligence: Spotless
Premium French channel Canal Plus has greenlit a shiny new crime drama to film in London this summer.
Spotless centres on a man whose orderly life changes forever when he gets drawn into the underbelly of the criminal world by his dangerous brother.
It is co-created by Ed McCardie, best known for writing and producing the hugely successful Shameless, and Corinne Marrinan, whose credits include CSI and Crossing Lines.
Truly an international co-production, Spotless comes from Munich-based Tandem Communications and Rosetta Media in Toronto. Holding up the UK end of things is producer Hugh Warren, who is working alongside Tandem's Moritz Polter.
The first two episodes will be directed by Pascal Chaumeil, who recently directed the big screen adaptation of Nick Hornby's A Long Way Down.
