Forthcoming TV networking event in September

TELLY TALKSeptember is a way off we know, but as the summer months get jam-packed with holidays, social gatherings and of course, busy filming schedules, it’s always good to start planning ahead and keep your finger on the pulse with upcoming TV and film events.

One particular event, Telly Talk London, is one of those rare networking events that is open to anyone and everyone interested in the TV industry regardless of how many credits you’ve got on your CV.

After a hugely success launch night in August 2012, Telly Talk has welcomed a host of esteemed speakers including Jude Winstanley (MD of The Unit List) and Simon Wright (BBC talent executive).

Founded and run by Grace Owen, a researcher currently at Outline Productions, the event also welcomes less experienced speakers to share practical tips. From assistant producers to junior researchers, it’s reassuring to hear that everyone has the same worries and challenges.

The last Telly Talk London was held on Tuesday 28 May, and welcomed on the panel: Jonathan Stadlen (Knickerbockerglory TV), Jenny Popplewell (Firecracker Films), Joe Fowler (Twenty Twenty), Kelsey Richards (BBC talent scheme) and Ash Greenwood (Studio Lambert).

The next event will take place in September, with proceeds from the evening going to the mental health charity Mind.

If this event sounds like your cup of tea, further details, including the exact date, will be announced via the Telly Talk London website and their Twitter feed.
