Marvel's Thor: The Dark World - Disney releases new photos
Disney has released new photos of the film adaptation of Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, revealing a very good looking Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Christopher Eccleston as the villainous Malekith the accursed, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and loads of Dark Elf minions.
The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
Previous photos already revealed a bright and shining Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman who stars in the film alongside a stellar cast including Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo.
The Disney production, set to be released in October of this year, is shot in the UK (with a few scenes in Iceland) and is directed by Game of Thrones veteran Alan Taylor.
Who will provide the music for the sequel is not yet known as composer Carter Burwell left the production earlier this week, according to insiders due to ‘creative differences’.
The film will be released at the end of October in the UK, a week before it will premiere in the US.
