In Fabric to film in UK next month
Peter Strickland, director of the 2012 horror feature Berberian Sound Studio, is set to direct In Fabric, which will film in the UK next month.
As first reported on Screen, the feature will reunite Strickland with producer Andy Starke of Rook Films: the pair worked together on the critically-acclaimed Duke of Burgundy in 2014.
Strickland directs from his own screenplay. Starke told the outlet: “Peter is one of the most unique and visionary directors we have. It’s fantastic to be working with him and our partners on In Fabric to bring this magical script to life.”
Production Intelligence subscribers can log in for more on the film including the name of the line producer, production designer, DoP, location manager and production co-ordinator, and should follow the project for updates.
Marianne Jean-Baptiste will lead the cast of In Fabric, which is due to begin shooting at the end of October. The ghost story is set against the backdrop of a department store where a cursed dress changes hands from person to person, with dreadful consequences.
